Big congratulations on our behalf to all the lab technicians around the globe for engaging yourselves in this skillful and important job.

We would like to use the occasion of World TB Day to remind you of the importance of this service that you offer society.

Your work in the lab is what decides the confirmation of Tuberculosis for a patient. The accuracy, quality and skillfulness that you put into your work are of great significance in wiping of TB from our planet.

Routines often hamper the efficiency of human work, so we enthuse you to always be aware that your work requires you to always be alert coz every slide that you look through decides whether a patient has been attacked by the TB Bacilli and whether he or she would go on treatment or not.

On World TB Day you can do your part to spread the TB message by talking about the disease to patients,  by putting up posters displaying TB facts in your lab, distributing pamphlets and creating a general awareness about the disease to people whom you meet.

So pep up and let’s do our little bits to make the fight against TB stronger!

Watch out for the upcoming blog on the VIPS who play an important role in Stopping TB!
